职位描述：
SCOPE OF POSITION:
Senior Software Engineers (senior software developers) are responsible for translating product specifications into usable software code which can be distributed to customers. The Senior Software Engineer is further responsible for working with system architects to create system designs to satisfy commercial needs, and to help define the team-level processes for implementing those designs. Software Engineers use development tools to create software solutions that meet project requirements, while ensuring the products comply with industry standards for performance, quality and usability. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance to company standards and project methodologies including Agile and stage-gate development.
The Senior Software Engineer works primarily with system architects, analysts, engineering managers and project managers to clarify product requirements, identify viable system design solutions, define development processes, and deliver tangible results.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Define and implement design methods and processes following generally accepted industry standards.
- Drive the Agile software development process in collaboration with system architects, analysts and project managers.
- Develop and maintain a software portfolio of reusable components that are compliant with company performance, appearance and quality standards.
- Ensure the robustness of software deliverables in terms of scalability, reliability and sustainability.
- Ensure the software is designed such that it can be reasonably manufactured, deployed and supported in production.
- Design and code software solutions in response to product specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS:
TECHNICAL/KNOWLEDGE:
- B.S. in Computer Science is required. An advanced degree in Computer Science or related field is desirable.
- Minimum of 4 years experience in software design, minimum 1 year in a Lead or Senior Software Developer/Engineer position.
- Experience in software design for commercial product markets.
- Minimum of 3 years experience each with two or more of the following: C++, C#, .NET, XML, Java, web services, application server design or deployment.
- Experience with design or deployment of service-oriented architectures (SOA), web services, or federated architectures is highly desirable.

ANALYTICAL/SKILLS:
- Ability to recognize patterns and relationships between similar functional design requirements and develop reusable solutions.
- Strong communication and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work as a collaborative member of a diverse team.

CONTROL/ABILITIES:
- Regular attendance is required.
- Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Normal daily work environment will be in a typical office environment.
- Minimal travel is expected.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Normal daily work aside from occasional customer site visits.
