职位描述：
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Assure cognizant in-depth evaluations are completed on assigned new product introductions, product line expansions, line reviews (of current product offerings), and product maintenance assignments (Quality Action Reports (QARs), Warranty Returns, etc.).
· Utilize diverse product and manufacturing knowledge to specify quality assurance, preventive and/or detection methods to assure products maintain their quality level post introduction.
· Utilize knowledge of materials and components (metals, plastic, elastomers, ceramics, etc.) in evaluation of products and specification of product attributes to assure product quality.
· Capture best practices of evaluation methods in written Test Protocols.
· Communicate product requirements through specifications and reports (Evaluation Reports, Engineering Scope and Test Plan (ESTP), Technical Specifications, Request for Quotes (RFQs), Production Sample Inspection (PSI) reports, QA Sheets, etc.).
· Analyze product warranty returns, determine root cause, and provide corrective action to assure products continue to meet or exceed quality and performance expectations.
· Review product support documents for technical content and safety information (i.e. Owner's Manuals, Product Bulletins, catalog copy, package labeling, etc.)
· Prepare samples, supporting documentation, and technical presentations for patent reviews.
· Support compliance team to assure requirements are correctly specified, verified, and supporting documentation is obtained for company records.
· When assigned a lead role, demonstrate ownership of leadership responsibilities: define objectives, tasks and sub-tasks, delegate to team members and assure team members deliver to expectations, seek guidance from manager to achieve the results expected.
· Ability to assess resources requirement for program /task completion on time and on budget.
· Develop and deliver presentations for interdepartmental use regarding products, areas of engineering expertise, and process knowledge, etc.
· Recommend and support strategies that contribute to Grainger's continuous improvement system by generating processes and procedures to achieve productivity gains.
· Execute strategies set forth by engineering management to meet program requirements, deadlines, and department goals.


REQUIREMENTS

- A Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required. Electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering areas of study are preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years (8+ years preferred) relevant work experience in like or related field.
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize and organize projects in a changing environment.
- Proven skills in analyzing product failures with a proven history of developing and implementing corrective actions.
- Requires strong communication skills, willingness to work in a dynamic team environment, a healthy attitude and a keen
- Proven ability to procure, read, understand, and interpret technical reports, specifications, industry standards, test data, patents and to be able to translate technical information into useful laymen's terms
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of various test equipment.
- Experience working with overseas suppliers.
- Set a high personal integrity with suppliers worldwide. Ensure compliance to the local and US laws, business guidelines and ethical standards set by Grainger.
- Able to travel 10-15% of time, with some International travel possible.
- Flexible work days and hours required in dealing with the U.S. Headquarters and oversea offices
- Fluent in both oral and written English.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. 举报 分享
