Job Description:
1. Manage all procurement, sourcing and supplier-focused activities in accordance with procurement strategies and regulations within product portfolio and/or customer sales projects in order to reach project targets.
2. Manage Bill of Material (BOM) cost target and data for component lead times."
3. Act as one face of the Procurement organization to the project leader and the members of the Product Introduction Team (PIT) and actively contribute to project execution.
4. Coordinate and organize the involvement of specific Procurement functions, tasks and resources as necessary.
5. Communicate the procurement setup and activities within the PIT."
6. Analyze the material demand within product portfolio and/or customer sales projects based on the marketing/ sales forecasts.
7. Investigate project/ sales related information, define and consolidate the material demand with cross functions and develop a potential suppliers list in collaboration with the Category Procurement organization.
8. Setup and implement a sourcing plan, organize handover to operational Procurement (eg. plant Procurement) and control the material cost and material related additional cost."
9. Perform target cost, cost structure and value analysis on material level and/ or value add items as defined for the individual product portfolio and/or customer sales project.
10. Drive the implementation of Procurement Strategies along with material and/or supplier selection activities in product portfolio and/or customer sales projects.
11. Ensure a feedback of technological project demand and/or market trends into the Commodity Business Strategy (CBS) of the Category Procurement organization.
12. Drive early involvement of suppliers into the development process."
13. Prepare and perform Request for Information (RFI) / Request for Quote (RFQ) with suppliers.
14. Analyze the receiving data on product portfolio and/or customer sales project level and also considering the overall sourcing demand for the material.
15. Use local Procurement resources/ Shared Services where appropriate."
16. Evaluate sourcing risks related to material availability, supply chain interruptions and supplier performance.
17. Support or initiate risk buy activities.
18. Perform risk analysis on product portfolio and/or customer sales project level to manage potential claims and other liabilities. "
19. Perform and/ or support negotiations in close alignment with the Commodity Business Management and Contract Management.
20. Apply advanced negotiation concepts like e Sourcing events where possible.

Job Requirement:
1. 3+ years experience in: technology/ material fields, e.g. electronics, mechanics, optics, thermal/ chemical sourcing/ supplier management - scouting, qualification, planning, integration, value chain enhancement lighting and electronics industry product and application knowledge including markets, sourcing, manufacturing, cost structure
