Role Summary/Purpose
GE is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.The Quality Operations Manager (China) will work closely with the Traditional Quality Organization and the PGS Global/Region leadership and on-site personnel to drive operational processes excellence, compliance and consistent execution. This individual will support outage reviews, quality audits, RCA/NCA’s and improvements as well as coaching /observing site personnel in developing & executing work instructions.
Essential Responsibilities
• Work closely with the PGS Operations and Quality teams to drive operational processes and compliance • Establish and lead process capability initiative across the region/globe • Expand and monitor methods to control compliance • Lead Quality Assurance (QA) audits to drive consistent execution globally. Conduct periodic quality audits, ensuring local regulatory and customers’ requirements are not and follow-up on audit findings and use Continuous Improvement to improve processes • Integrate and share best practices and lessons learned, teaming with products, engineering and product service • Build strong relationships with the engineering teams, technical support teams, software process / tools teams, quality control teams and productivity teams to drive a customer-facing culture with quality execution • Manage Outage Readiness Review process and craft labor quality • Assist operations team to execute on the process and quality control strategy, outage readiness reviews, outage tracker compliance and outage risk assessments • Write applicable Work Instructions (WI) and assist with implementation of technical and other business procedures consistent with global PGS Quality Systems and Documentation • Manage Customer Issue Resolutions (CIR), Continuous Improvement –RCA/NCA and Corrective actions (RCA/CA) • Support the development of Quality Control Plans, Quality Initiatives/ Programs and Strategies in the region • Lead and work closely with EHS on Customer Outreach Program. • Educate, coach and mentor others on Quality Systems • Support NPS and implementation of CAM (Customer Advocacy Model)
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Quality • Minimum 5 years’ experience in services and related operations • Strong customer service and quality mindset • Proven ability to lead in a global environment • Exceptional communication and team building skills • Demonstrated leadership, organizational and planning skills • Must be able to travel within the regions (50%)
Desired Characteristics
• Knowledge of Power Services information systems • Green/Black Belt certified (GE Employees Only) • Field Engineer Program or Direct Hire Program Graduate • Traditional Quality Process (Audits, QMS, Continuous Improvement) Experience
