In late 2009, GE Aviation and AVIC Systems of China announced an agreement to form a new joint venture to develop and market integrated avionics systems for commercial aircraft customers. Announced in mid 2010, this business will be providing avionics systems for China’s first large commercial aircraft, the COMAC C919. Role Summary/Purpose

IT Infra Specialist - Email/Collaboration/Web will have strategic and operational responsibilities for the definition and delivery of Email/Collaboration/Web services for JV. This will include developing in-depth technical knowledge, cultural awareness, regulatory understanding and relationships (internal and external) within the country, where JV is operating or where JV has plans to operate.

Essential Responsibilities

- Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role, you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals. - Evaluate and recommend IT collaboration tools/web technology standards and products - Provide leadership in the planning, evaluation, design, development implementation, and operation of email/collaboration/web solutions - Creat, manage and support users email accounts after JV IT environment is ready - Design and maintain JV employees web portal - Drive solution identification, feasibility analysis, and implementation recommendations for operations service level improvements and assist with prioritization of resulting infrastructure projects - Act as subject matter expert for assigned area processes & supporting applications functionality and primary liaison to functional managers - Evaluate and/or produce business plans & operating practices, which improve quality, increase productivity and reduce costs - Maintain effective communication with customer, client, supplier & system’s management. - Maintain current knowledge of new system management practices & information technologies that are applicable to business objectives & creatively promote their use - Assure conformance to system architecture, methods, standards & practices & promote their creation - Initiate and coordinate outsourced supplier efforts as required

Qualifications/Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, ComputerScience or Engineering- Fluent with both Chinese and English

Desired Characteristics

- 5 additional years of experience in an IT infrastructure environment with strong technical expertise in the areas of Exchange, Sharepoint, desktop computing, network, database, storage, security, and collaboration tools is preferred- 5 additional years experience with IT infrastructure Program/Project/Vendor Management- Ability to meet objectives by influencing and engaging across multiple teams- Ability to work autonomously and effectively and take initiative- Ability to think strategically and deliver local decisions aligned with a global approach- Strong oral and written communication skills- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills- Strong technical expertise with IT basic infrastructure design, build and support- Excellent negotiating and consensus-building skills- Demonstrated initiative to stay abreast of technology advancements
