Axis is looking for the right person to fill an open position as a Software Engineer within our newly established Research & Development (R&D) organization in Shanghai.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As a Software Engineer you will take an active part in the development of our firmware used in our Network Video products. You will perform analysis, design, implementation and write unit- and functional tests of new functionality in the platform. Furthermore you will work with quality-enhancing activities such as debugging and bug fixing. The role will also include some customer interactions as the team is close to the market.

Your Responsibilities will include:
Take an active part in the development of our firmware used in our Network Video products.
Analysis, design, implementation and write unit/ functional tests of new functionality in the platform.
Work with quality-enhancing activities such as debugging and bug fixing.
Some customer interactions as the team is close to the market.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Bachelor/Master degree on Computer Science, EE or Communication.
At least 5+ years of practical experience designing and writing C and C++ multi-threaded, and multi-process software for embedded Linux systems.
Knowledge of IP protocols (rtsp, sip, http)
Good Mandarin/English communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, good team spirit and adaptability.
Open mind and fast learning.
Embedded Linux programming
Script languages, e.g. Python
Developing for the open source community
Experience in ONVIF/GB28181 implementation is a big plus
Experience in IP Camera development is a big plus

The Axis R&D China Team is part of the global R&D organization with headquarter in Sweden. The Chinese team is the only R&D team outside Sweden and is focused on developing functionality and products for the local market but also working close with the sales and technical support teams to provide advanced engineering services.
