CBG IT, the company's fastest growing business area, specialising in multilingual system solutions and processes, offers services including project management, software development and programming support. The Translation System Operations Team is based in Stockholm, Gothenburg, Barcelona, Shanghai and Warsaw.
Description of the post
The strong expansion of CBG IT means that we need to strengthen our Translation System Operations Team in Shanghai with a Translation System Operations Technician [TSYS OT], a specialist in the translation system responsible for facilitating technical translation tasks, providing technical expertise and aiding the production department. You will handle incoming support requests and solve them according to SLAs, perform functional integration and system testing prior to releases and assist with documentation.
The TSYS Operation Technician cooperates closely with the issue reporters, developers, system managers, system architects and IT project managers. As a TSYS Operation Technician at CBG you will be part of an international TSYS operation team and:
1 Carry out tasks assigned by the team leader or issue delegator.
2 Provide creative engineering solutions to new issues and situations in collaboration with senior members of the team, the R&D department and the production department.
3 Provide operational technical expertise in the translation systems to the production department.
4 Assist the production department with technical issues relating the translation system.
Who are you?
We are looking thrives for a structured, logical and goal-focused IT professional with a genuine interest in all facets of IT and who thrives in a dynamic work environment. You must be able to work in a team, while at the same time being self-motivated and driven. We expect that you have an IT qualification, preferably with a focus on software development/programming. You may well be a recent graduate, but work experience is obviously an advantage. You speak and write English fluently, additional language skills are an advantage.
Competence profile
1 Genuine IT knowledge e.g. scripting, batch processing, PowerShell, XML, regular expressions, and encodings. Not all subjects need to be mastered.
2 Basic knowledge of programming, preferably C# and/or Delphi.
3 Experience from programming and testing.
4 Experience from working with several stakeholders, for example suppliers, other business units or customers.
5 Experience from Windows clients, servers, network, VMWare, Exchange, Active Directory is a plus.
