Position Summary:
Responsible for championing and leading lean initiatives at the Plant level by utilizing company's WIN Strategy. Organizes associates in value stream mapping and continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste in all office, factory and support functions. Measures and reports progress on an on-going basis using the Lean Journey Assessment, financial performance measures (ROS, RONA, etc) and Lean Report Card measures.

Job Responsibility:
1. Leads and guides Lean initiatives within the Plant. Works with Plant level management on Lean projects using lean tools and metrics. Assists in the development of a Lean Strategy to be implemented plant-wide.
2. Coordinate initiatives at the plant and train associates how to continually eliminate waste.
3. Ensures that steering committees and teams are established at the location and are implementing the Lean principles, techniques, and methodologies according to corporate requirements.
4. Makes implementation and results a top priority and regularly updates the Plant’s Lean implementation plan. Empowers every employee in the Plant through positive reinforcement of Lean. "Make Lean the way we do things at the company."
5. Provides effective change management, leadership, and optimization in implementing the corporate WIN strategy across the Plant. Serves as a catalyst for successful and sustained lean implementation.
6. Provides high level of technical and operational recommendations in meeting material control, product quality and customer service goals. Supports coaching and teaching of lean principles through the use of outside resources.
7. Ensures on-going education of all employees at the Plant in Lean. Promotes a Continuous Learning environment.
8. Position must understand the current culture by reviewing existing documentation of policies and procedures. Position is responsible for working with all operating disciplines by using value stream management to develop a master plan of meeting the goals of Lean.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
2. Good understanding of Lean manufacturing
3. Ability to articulate the desired state, purpose and value of lean and constantly moving in the direction of waste elimination.
4. Understanding of financial measurements and goals and has good analytical skills.
5. Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment.
6. Good presentation skills to effectively share the success and ideas of the Division.
7. Open-minded, quick learner
8. Lean Six Sigma lead experience is highly preferred
