Responsibilities:
Reporting
to the Corporate Office tax department in Singapore, the candidate is
responsible for leading China Tax affairs including gaining a deep understanding
of the overall business operations, vision and model with specific focus on
China; working with various internal departments in providing clear, timely, tax
defensible and effective solutions; managing tax compliance matters of the China
entities (including but not limited to transfer pricing, enterprise income tax
and indirect taxes) as well as developing effective and practical planning
solutions to improve effective tax rates of the China
entities.

Primary duties include:
1) The candidate
will work closely with other members of the finance department to communicate
cross functional tax subject matter input, and ensure coordination of cross
functional tax solutions.
2) Review and monitor the tax compliance
requirements of the China entities and report on the compliance status and
issues to the Corporate Office.
3) Evaluate and analyze the tax effect and
implications of business initiatives, contemplated transactions, and business
proposals to advise management on the tax implications.
4) Review and
research for tax planning, tax accounting and tax compliance purposes.
5)
Ensure proper application of tax laws and transfer pricing strategy.
6)
Support tax compliance issues, where applicable, to ensure alignment to
Corporate Office’s directions and related tax audit review.
7) Collaborate
with business units to proactively identify and research tax planning
opportunities.
8) Assist with due diligence and integration for
acquisitions.
9) Work and support Corporate Office Tax Department on cross
border transactions, where applicable.

Basic
Qualifications:
1) Bachelor's degree in Accountancy from a
recognized university or equivalent professional qualification
2) At least 10
years of related tax experience in multinational commercial and/or an
International Accounting Firm (with at least 6 years in an International
Accounting Firm).
3) Meticulous individual who takes ownership of objectives
and to drive the work necessary to accomplish them.
4) Hard working, quick
learner with a positive attitude, strong inter-personal skills and ability to
develop trusting and sustained relationships and uphold professionalism
5)
Good written and oral communication skills in English and Chinese.
6) Ability
to work effectively in a team environment.
7) Advanced computer skills
including proficiency in Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
8) Willing to travel on
business

Preferred Qualification:
Experience in
handling corporate mergers, integration and liquidation matters.
