Function Description:

Novatek Microelectronics Corp. is a worldwide Top-10 fables chip design company specializing in the design, development and sales of a wide range of display driver ICs & SOC solutions that help our worldwide customers meet emerging needs for sophisticated flat-panel display applications and audio/video applications ,for all digital devices. Advanced Video Technologies Group in Novatek (Xi’an) Co., Ltd. is responsible of cutting-edge video/image algorithm designs for SOC and FRC ICs in digital televisions, set-top boxes, mobile ,devices and cameras.

Our organization is looking for a highly experienced Algorithmic Software Engineer to work with other algorithm designers in the group on software implementation of algorithms, GPU toolings and algorithm tuning interfaces. Note that this is a high potential position which would let you gain experience in all IC design related fields, including algorithm, software, hardware and customer support.

Responsibilities:

• (50 %) Leading the project for building GPU-based system-level emulator for (near) real-time video- processing modeling, responsible of GPU modeling of algorithms in development phase.
• (20 %) Leading the DSP implementation of algorithms, cooperate with algorithm designers during algorithm delivery stage for DSP implementation and tuning.
• (20 %) Leading the project for windows-based algorithmic tooling designs, including raw YUV image display, raw YUV video Real-Time player and tooling-box for video format convertor, maintain the designed toolings on a daily basis.
• (10 %) Design and implement algorithm tuning UI by MFC/OpenGL/wxWidget, help during IC validation and picture quality check stage.

• < 5%

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree with 3~5 years’ related experience as software engineer in IC design industry, preferred 5 ~ 8 years’ experience.
• Intensive experience on C/C++, CUDA, Open CL, Cg, familiar with multi-threads programming and performance optimization
• Hand-on knowledge on UI designs with OpenGL /MFC /wx Widget, or willing to learn.
• Experience on project management and time management during multi-tasks.
• Familiar with communication protocols such as I2C, UART is a plus.
• Experience in fables semiconductor companies is a plus
• Familiar with FPGA and IC designs is a huge plus.
• Can-Do Spirit, Pro-active, Schedule-Minded and Self-Motivated.
• Good inter-personal skills and open to discussions.
