Role Summary/Purpose

The Chief Manufacturing Officer will direct all manufacturing activities for the Digital Energy AJV, drive operations focus to ensure a culture of safety, compliance and productivity. He/she will lead Plant Operations to ensure manufacturing products within design parameters to meet expected quality levels, sales plans and customer commitments.

Essential Responsibilities

• Work closely with the GE Digital Energy Manufacturing team;
• Guide all business objectives in attainment of cost out/VCP, inventory turns, customer satisfaction/order fulfillment, quality and EHS excellence;
• Utilize, lead and support use of Lean Manufacturing techniques and activities;
• Provide performance metrics and feedback processes for all operations areas;
• Ensure plans/projects are in place to meet or exceed goals for each area. Promote an environment of continuous improvement and employee involvement to emphasize customer satisfaction;
• Ensure full compliance with all GE, government and customer policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Promote and enable an open reporting culture where employees are trained and aware of GE commitment to compliance;
• Assure commitment in own and others actions to the pursuit of highest possible quality of services, internal and delivered products to customers;
• Build a flexible, scalable best-in-class manufacturing organization positioned to deliver as business grows and/or work is in-sourced from other facilities;
• Develop key talent within the manufacturing organization through mentoring, coaching and facilitation of development opportunities;
• Responsible for controlling both direct and indirect costs, including manufacturing percent of sales rates;
• Promotes an effective interface with Technology to ensure the timely release of new products through the application of concurrent engineering and design for manufacturability techniques;
• Interface effectively with personnel at all levels of the organization;
• Foster supplier partnerships to maintain continuous improvements in the quality of purchased material, while optimizing service levels and total acquisition costs.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or business or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master’s degree desirable;
• Minimum 10 years progressively responsible leadership experience in a manufacturing environment;
• Bilingual fluent in Mandarin & English ;
• Must be knowledgeable about MRP/ERP systems, production and inventory control, electronics mfg., assembly and test systems, capital, expenses/cost accounting processes, Lean Mfg and statistics;
• Strong business acumen, problem-solving and organizational skills;
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and excellent communication skills;
• Ability to energize and motivate teams in a dynamic environment;
• Ability to work in a dynamic work environment with multiple reporting structures;
• Proven track record in change management.

• Six Sigma qualification (Black Belt, Master Black Belt);
• Project management skill sets.
