Duties & Responsibilities
1.Lead / Participate in the development and execution of project plans
2.Participate in the development of technical program goals, scope, and plans.
3.Lead / participate in the development of test project goals, scope, estimates, and plans.
4.Execute long duration tasks/assignments, concurrently on 1 or more projects, according to project plans, to meet schedule, resource, quality, and other applicable requirements.
5.Lead medium scope / duration test projects or assignments, consisting of project teams of 1-5 people. Clarify project scope with manager, define / plan required personnel, hardware, and software resources, define / plan / communicate assignments to team members, support execution of assignments, track status of team and make appropriate adjustments, and communicate status, deviations from plan, and issues/problems with appropriate technical and management personnel.
6.Support other team members as needed, to help meet overall team objectives.
7.Applies technical expertise and extensive job experience to test software. Work involves application of new technologies with significant technical risk.
a)Proactively participate in testability / ambiguity reviews for applicable product specifications in assigned product areas.
b)Perform medium to large scope software test development and execution tasks, in areas of moderate to high technical complexity and risk, applying structured test methods and techniques. Test development tasks include defining test documents, test sets, and test cases, writing test procedures, tracing product requirements to test cases, generating test data sets, and developing automated test scripts. Test execution tasks include executing test procedures and automated scripts, running ad hoc tests, and identifying, analyzing, and verifying discrepancies.
c)Apply technical knowledge, training, and moderate technical experience to project tasks.
d)Apply moderate customer domain knowledge to project tasks.

1.Develop and execute tests to effectively verify & validate assigned areas of product functionality, and to identify and subsequently reduce product risk in those areas.
2.Proactively participate in ongoing risk assessment in assigned product areas, and prioritize tasks to focus effort on those areas that present the greatest risk.
3.Identify risk in unassigned product areas, and define, plan, and execute tasks to reduce that risk.
4.Take personal responsibility for product quality in assigned and unassigned product areas, and for the product(s) as a whole.

a)Proactively initiate frequent communications with software developers in assigned technical areas, to define / clarify functional requirements, clarify design and implementation details, analyze risk, investigate unexpected product behavior, analyze discrepancies, etc.
b)Communicate frequently with other software test personnel, to share / dispense technical knowledge, ensure consistency of approach among team members, and support the accomplishment of common group and project objectives.
c)Communicate with marketing personnel to further understand the customer domain and the associated customer usage of our product(s).

Qualifications and Experience
1.Education/Training
?BS in Engineering, Computer Science or technical equivalent and four (4) years related experience or MS in Engineering, Computer Science and three (3) years related experience.
