Senior Applications Support Engineer - Lighting

Job Description
Support US Applications Engineering team in three areas. Developing lighting layouts for agents and customer’s, develop complete bills of material for Kroger projects and developing MWS layouts. This is primarily a support position with the US team being the filter. The US team will select which projects are to be sent and will also review all work prior to sending to customer.

A. Develops lighting layouts using AGI32 version 14.4 and may require AutoCAD 2013 to prepare the drawing for importation into AGI32. Layouts are developed using products specified by the agent or customer. During the layout process, Illuminating Engineering Society standards will often be the minimum or default requirement. Developed layouts will be returned to the US for review before sending to customer.

B. Provides Kroger takeoffs using BlueBeam REVU Standard version 11 or later. Incumbent will overlay symbols from a library of products provided by the US Kroger team. The symbols are overlaid using a copy/paste procedure using the customer supplied drawing as the background. Layouts will be returned to the US for verification and development of the final BOM to be submitted to the National Accounts team.

C. Develop MWS layouts using AutoCAD 2013 with MWSCAD imported into the system. Incumbent will use MWSCAD while following US electrical practices. Incumbent will need training in the use of MWSCAD and MWS products. Developed layouts will be submitted to the US for review by the MWS team. The MWS team will then submit to customer and agent.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
1. AGI32 experience
2. AutoCAD 2013 experience
3. Microsoft Office suite experience
4. Fluent in the English language.
5. Lighting knowledge per the IESNA, Illuminating Engineering Society of North America.
6. Workload will be managed by Peachtree City contacts.
7. Projects submitted will be non-complex projects requiring minimal communication. Information provided will be complete and not exceed the capabilities of staff.
8. Work times will overlap a minimum of one hour. Incumbent to be available between 4:00-5:00 PM EST to discuss projects submitted.
9. English is the only language used throughout the process.
10. Comprehensive library of IES standards, Recommended Practice guides, Design Guides and the 10th Edition of the IES Lighting Handbook.
11. AutoCAD 2013 or newer
12. For MWS projects, MWScad provided by Peachtree City.
13. PDF to DXF converter
14. BlueBeam version 11 or newer
