Summary:
Responsibility for maintaining, developing, and strengthening customer relationships with both current and new OEMs in IVD and Water Monitoring markets in Greater China region. Develops and executes the sales action plans to achieve sales targets and stretch goals.
Reporting Relationships:
? Position Reports to: Director of Sales〢sia Pacific, IDEX Health & Science
? Position located in: IDEX China office (Shanghai or Beijing)
Primary duties:
? Create and execute action plans to achieve assigned business objectives.
? Promote and establish IH&S as a key strategic design and supply chain partner to identified OEM customers.
? Interface directly with IH&S sites/function resources as needed to meet customers’ needs and sales goals
? Using application & product knowledge to help OEMs’ R&D teams to understand, choose & use IH&S solutions properly. Answer the key OEMs’ technical questions and provide the technical support on their development & problem solving activities
? Regularly interface with the IH&S sites on as following items:
o Product Managers, RD&E team, and marketing resources to identify new product and market opportunities.
o Manufacturing / procurement / quality assurance teams to establish and manage quality and On㏕ime Delivery (OTD) metrics to meet customer expectations.
? Analyze industry and customer account trends. Indentify the new strategic opportunities. Prepare and present sales reports on territory/account progress toward goals.
? Assist IH&S Marketing and leaderships in the development of Strategic Marketing Plans to create awareness and subsequently pursue identified market segments and customers.
? Extensive travel to existing customers, prospective customers, trade shows, and IDEX HST company locations. It is estimated that a minimum of 50% travel will be required.
? Identify and provide the product training and promotion seminars to assigned key OEM accounts.
? Perform other responsibilities required or as assigned.
Qualifications:
Experience Required:
5? years of progressive experience and responsibility in OEM sales or key account management in life sciences market segment. Candidate must have excellent customer relations skills and proven results with increasing sales, multi﹍evel negotiation techniques and selling critical enabling components and/or sub﹕ystems solutions.
Experienced working with multi?br>ational life science company is preferred.
Knowledge:
? BS/BA required, preferably in the Engineering or Life Sciences. Advanced technical or business degree is preferred.
? Candidate should understand the fundamentals of the design, function, and application of analytical instruments, IVD or Biotech instruments and the use of fluid handling technology therein.
Skills/Abilities:
? Excellent speaking and written communication skills. Fluency in English & Mandarin are required.
? Great key account management skills including customer relationship building, opportunity qualification, value selling, value negotiation, and post﹕ale customer support, etc.
? Intermediate to advanced personal computer skills.
? Must possess high〆nergy, a strong drive?o﹕ucceed and work proactively with a sense of urgency.
? Must be able and willing to work alone and be self﹎otivated.
