Marketing Manager

Location: Beijing

某外资医药公司


This will include the keys missions following:
1. Initiate and manage operational marketing plans and actions
2. Develop medico-marketing tools in order to clinical benefits of the products of the company
3. Support the evaluation of the new product for the company

1. Operational marketing missions:
- Work closely with the BD and Sales Directors and senior executive team to help drive the company forward through its next phase of growth
- Devise and implement a marketing strategy and provide strong leadership to the marketing function
- Maximize the use of conventional marketing tools, including significant above the line spend, in combination with new marketing techniques and technology-driven market methods
- Key player status in the senior leadership team of the affiliate, defining strategy and ensuring its application across the commercial function (both B2B and B2C)
- Leading market awareness and brand strategy development across the business.
- Manage budget and forecast for associated products
Prepare and implement a English/Chinese marketing plan for all associated products
- Deliver monthly reports, and quarterly marketing plan updates
- Train sales force on optimal usage of marketing and sales tools
- Regularly travel with sales representatives to successful selling of associated products, coach on how to best implement and overcome challenges
- Ensure there is a high level of awareness of market developments, government policies, competitor activities and customer/'s needs

2. Medico-marketing missions:
- Acting as the company commercial expert and customer interface for all high level sales and medico-marketing issues, providing commercial strategy and direction to all internal and external stakeholders
- Provision of medico-marketing tools to all functions to promote and support business development, growth and new product launches
- Developing a network of Key Opinion Leaders to assist driving products through launch periods and support throughout the product life cycle.
- Develop and communicate key messages (benefits for patients for related products), value propositions, medico-marketing programs, and tools for related products
- Contribute and Communicate on Distribution Channel Strategies, including Physician Office Laboratories and other alternate testing sites.

3. New Product Evaluation missions:
In technical and marketing support for BD department, support new project evaluation:
- Provide market data and analysis
- Develop market and related publications survey
- Pipeline management and new Project evaluation
- To introduce company technology and products by contacting institutes, universities or other channels to understand partners situation and their needs, to look for cooperation possibilities and to establish scientific projects.


OTHERS KEYS RESPONIBILITIES
Relationship and People Management
- Build lasting relationships with customers, KOL’s and those people who will have an influence on the business.
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues, including your peer group, senior and junior colleagues across the business.
- Recruit, retain and develop personnel to maximize the capabilities of the Sales and Marketing team.
- Ensure an appraisal process is in place which identifies on-going training needs and link to succession planning for key positions in the business.
- Demonstrate effectively operating within a matrix environment, with the ability to affect individuals both within and outside of the roles sphere of influence


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE – SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- A life-science degree (or higher), combined with Master Degree would be advantageous.
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive sales and/or product/marketing management experience, with at least 3 years in healthcare
- Incumbent must have a proven track record that clearly demonstrates success in drugs related marketing positions with increasing levels of responsibility.
- Require a proven track record in the definition of medico-marketing tools
- Experience in health economics, familiar with the demonstration of benefits
- A sound knowledge of managing P&L’s and making informed decisions is essential.
- Established contacts with Medical Committees or Interest Groups in the field of applications of the portfolio.
- Strategic and operational planning must be advances including the ability to truly discern & critique strategies
- Forecasting and budgetary control capability
- Strong Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
- Advanced presentation skills, the ability to inspire others
- Due diligence process awareness
- Contract knowledge including negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills including verbal and written and presentation skills required, along with a strong financial and business acumen, flexibility and good judgment.
- High degree of leadership and able to engage with and successfully influence others including colleagues and customers, ranging from lab technicians to clinical experts.
- Because of the technical nature of the products, an understanding of the assigned products and their relationship to diagnostic and clinical medicine is essential.
