职位描述
Basic Function:
Responsible for the sourcing projects of optical components and assemblies including flat, prisms, sphere, etc. Also responsible for precision machined parts from aluminum, brass, carbon steel, stainless steel and plastic material , and precise gear machining parts including supplier search, audit, RFQ and PPAP process. Assess and develop suppliers to meet IDEX business unit needs worldwide.
Primary duties & responsibilities:
1. Review with IDEX Corp supply chain team and business units the components for outsourcing
2. Represent IDEX to communicate business unit requirements to potential suppliers.
3. Seek for potential supplier information and execute supplier evaluation and qualification ;
4. Determine most appropriate source, accomplish sourcing plan (RFQ, PPAP process, localization project management)
5. Supplier management support and execution (supplier's performance review and technical support in supplier's improvement)
6. Manage projects and resolving technical issues to ensure suppliers meet IDEX specification requirements.
7. Insure Inspection Plans are followed by Suppliers, assist in continuous quality improvement programs and resolve quality problems as required.
Skills essentials to the job
1. Technical:
1). General knowledge of commodity market and supplier base in China. Knowledge and experience with optical components manufacturing and assembling, high precision CNC machining including of both turning and milling.
2).Must be familiar with tight tolerance work in production of commercial optical components from world class material Vs substitution domestic material, and machined components from aluminum, stainless steel, brass, carbon steel and plastic.
3). Engineering background is expected with ability to understand and communicate engineering requirements.
4). Good understanding of manufacture process, testing process; quality system and tooling.
5). General knowledge and experience with supplier assessment.
6). Good ability to understand complex drawings and material specifications.
7). Familiar with quality management system including ISO9001:2000, 5S and TS16949
and with quality control tools PPAP;
8). Good understanding of inspection tools and methods for international GD&T;

2). Acuity feeling of cost and risk; good communication skills;
3). Active attitude and thinking abilities of "I can do "and "how can I do"
4). Good at utilizing the resources and support of team to resolve problems. Perform tasks and commitments well;
5). Good written and oral skills in both English and Chinese;
6). Experience and willingness to accept extensive domestic travels
7).Prior experience with manufacturing of products requiring high technical complexity.

Qualifications required
1. Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering.
2. 3years minimum experience in engineering / manufacturing position.
3. 3 years minimum experience in supplier quality or sourcing position.
4. 3 years minimum experience with an international or export company.
