IT Manager

Background

This new position requires a candidate to head up a newly
created IT department in China with responsibility for IT support in a rapidly
growing Engineering services business.

Reporting directly into the IT Manager in the UK, the
successful candidate will be supporting Sondrel's IT infrastructure, business
services and processes, ensuring that the company can be the best at what it
does.

Person specification

The candidate will work as part of a small customer focused
and proactive team and as such the person must be

· Resilient and be able to work under pressure

· Able to communicate with a large internal
customer user base in China

· Good task manager who and can handle many and
conflicting priorities

Also the candidate must be able to demonstrate these skills

· High productivity

· Methodical and organized approach to work

· Quick to identify and resolve issues and

· Work as part of a team to solve complex
problems and come up with innovative solutions

Skills/qualifications required

· A degree in an IT related field

· Famiiarity with how business processes/
software and hardware are set up, configured and evolved

· Must have strong English language skills, both
written and spoken, as all documentation and communication is in English
globally.

Role responsibilities and activities

Resolve service desk
tickets using the ITIL processes within SLA time frames.

Follow and implement
change control using the companies ITIL Ticket system.

Allocate and track
assets and provide point of contact for local procurement for products and
services.

Provide support and
training to users regarding IT software and processes both on site and remotely
using remote support tools.

Maintain and develop
the companies network and VPN connections using IPv4 and transition to IPv6.

Develop bespoke tools
using a variety of programming languages (force.com apex, perl, php)

Hardware preparation,
configuration and repair

Prepare and maintain
documentation regarding all the above
