职位描述
Key Responsibilities:
-Supervise Lab Operation (Behai, Dalian, Chongqing)
-Responsible of QA lab and group.
-Responsible of Technical Development group.
Make sure that raw material and finish lubricant products are on specification.
Support Production during troubleshooting/route cause investigations on quality related issues providing analytical support.
Conduct a gap analysis of the laboratories equipments and set-ups under the logic of continues improvement philosophy.
-Technical Liaison with Engine Department (Yulin, Nanning plus other locations)
-Owner of the technical relationship with the Engineering Group.
-Responsible of representing the excellence of the YC-PLI JV in terms of technical related aspects.
Build trust among the Team of Engineers and be recognized as matter expert on lubricant related topics.
Support the Engineers on engine troubleshooting/understanding for lubricant related issues.
Support the development of engine oil and other fluids specifications by means of providing the right testing protocols and recommendations to the Engineering Group.
Reshape, revise and agree with the Engineering Group a new lub development process.
Design a new service agreement type of document aiming to formalize joint technical activities requiring testing.
-Formulation Development (main emphasis on Diesel Engine and Industrial Oils)
-Responsible of the development of new, cost effective formulations tuned to meet engine targets in terms of lubrication.
-Identify emerging technologies and trends, which are critical for new product developments.
Elaborate info gathered from meetings with Engineering group and translate those in formulation/chemical related aspects useful to facilitate formulation selection.
Timely provide prototype oil samples to meet testing schedule deadlines.
Analyse engine testing results (engine hardware ratings and used oil analysis) and if needed improve formulation accordingly.
Keep abreast with both Additive and Base Oil suppliers in terms of product upgrades and availability.
-Support to Marketing and Supply Chain
-Lead by Marketing, support SKU rationalization and product segmentation by means of creating a new specs system.
-Lead by Supply Chain, support finish products cost optimization by means of formulas adaptation (when possible) and raw material selection.
Build Technology Team
-Recruit as per agreed plan and budget to ensure that the above described operations and activities are properly resourced.
-Lead and motivate a cohesive and professional Team, with emphasis on integration and positive open mind attitudes.
-Support and encourage Colleagues development both on skills and capabilities.
Key Requirements:
-Degree in Chemistry, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
-Minimum 10 years’ professional experience working in Research & Development within the lubricant or additive industry - ideally with one of the major lubricants or additive company.
-Strong understanding of manufacturing/blending processes for lubricants, with knowledge of product formulation processes as well as previous experience in supplier selection and development cooperation.
-Ability to work in cross-functional/regional team environments and to build strong relationships with various technical Teams and Suppliers.
-Proactive individual, with strong leadership qualities and excellent problem-solving and presentation skills.
-The jobholder should ideally have gained working international experience, therefore foreign nationals are welcome to apply.
