JOB DESCRIPTION:
As a Receiving Center Supervisor at Micron, you will be responsible for the management and development of direct reports to ensure accurate receipt of both Inventory and Non-Inventory goods, as well as the delivery of received shipments to internal customers. You will be responsible for overseeing and improving functional area performance by managing staffing, distributing and prioritizing work, and ensuring communication and training completion on safety, legal, and work requirements. You will assist with improving individual capability by conducting performance appraisals with team members to create goals and development plans. Other responsibilities include promoting collaboration by assisting with workloads and by supporting, leading, and participating in department and area improvement projects, and providing a safe, compliant, and ethical work environment by maintaining current knowledge of requirements and monitoring for compliance, as well as actively resolving potential issues.
RESPONSIBILITIES& TASKS:
-Ensure Timely and Accurate Receipts of Incoming Inventory and Non-Inventory Shipments
-Provide communication regarding job expectations and changes
-Coach and provide career development
-Establish goals and monitor performance achievement
-Conduct performance appraisals
-Collect, review, and provide verbal and written performance feedback for continual development
-Manage employee performance and resolve conflict
-Provide recognition
Build an Effective Team
-Prioritize work, remove barriers, and drive for accountability
-Manage team staffing and succession
-Distribute work and learning opportunities
-Empower team members and promote teamwork
-Provide line of sight to strategic objectives
Oversee Functional Area Service Delivery
-Provide consultation on work execution and problem solving
-Assist in the troubleshooting of escalated issues and provide coaching for resolution
-Coordinate and communicate policy and procedures
-Monitor for adherence to policy and procedures and provide feedback
-Ensure team members are properly trained according to department compliance and work requirements
-Identify and implement system and process improvements
-Develop, monitor, and report performance metrics
Promote Collaboration and Provide Project Support
-Maintain a proactive and customer-focused approach
-Act as liaison between team and customer group
-Support department performance improvement and cost reduction activities
-Lead or participate in special projects
-Assist others with workloads
-Mentor cross-functional team members
-Promote partnership across functional areas and customer groups
Provide a Safe, Compliant, and Ethical Work Environment
-Maintain knowledge of and apply company labor and ethics policies
-Maintain knowledge of work-related health resources and how to handle an injury in the workplace
-Ensure that accidents and emergencies are reported and documented
-Identify and resolve and / or report potential safety, security, and labor issues
QUALIFICATIONS:
-Bachelors Degree of International Trade / Business Administration/Supply Chain or Finance/ Accounting
-Excellent English & Data Analysis skills (Outlook/Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
-Knowledge of SAP will be an advantage
-5 years Supply Chain working experience and minimum 2 years people management experience
-Initiative, resourcefulness and problem solving ability
-Confident, energetic, independent and well organized
-Strong communication skills & teamwork ability
-Attention to detail
