Intel is seeking an experienced software/validation engineer to join the Non-Volatile Memory Solutions Group / Systems Engineering team to validate the next generation of Intel's industry-leading SATA, SAS, and PCIE Solid State Drives. Responsibilities include definition of validation strategies and plans, development of system-level validation software and debug of test failures, working closely with internal teams such as ASIC, Product Engineering, and Firmware Development to drive resolution of firmware and system bugs, and opportunities to drive improved validation methodologies within the team. This job requires a team player with good technical, planning, and communication skills who is motivated to deliver complex products on schedule with Intel quality.


Qualifications
Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
- Education: BSEE/CE/CS with 3 years or MSEE/CE/CS with 2 years experience in embedded system or silicon validation and/or firmware/software development/QA
- Experience with IA and other processor/microcontroller architectures and software development and debug tools (in-system processor probes, compilers/linkers, debuggers, source control systems, bug tracking tools)
- Strong software development and debug skills

Preferred skills include:
- Expertise in SATA, SAS, or PCIE protocol and debug, including knowledge of relevant debug tools (protocol analyzers, scopes, logic analyzers)
- Experience with common low-power processor architecture and development/debug tools
- Experience with C and python languages
- Experience with embedded device or SOC (system on a chip) development and debug
- Experience developing and debugging code in the Windows* or Linux* environments, including driver development, validation, or debug
- Validation experience
