We are looking for a motivated HW Systems Engineer to work on challenging phone and tablet products. Great opportunity to be involved with Intel's products, technologies, and customers helping to define platform ingredients and driving designs to market. In this position, you will be a member of the team responsible for product and customer support for Intel's mobile SOCs. You will utilize your analytical and problem solving skills to resolve platform design and production issues for both internal designs and customer designs. You will use your communications and organizational skills to coordinate many simultaneous product developments and debugging efforts across both internal and/or OEM/ODM designs. Additionally, you will be part of a motivated and skilled team across many geographies and disciplines.

The candidate must have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with three+ years of industry experience in phone/tablet hardware. An advanced degree is preferred.

Additional qualifications include:

Strong technical capabilities: Detailed knowledge of phone/tablet hardware including core components of SOC, chipset, memory and other components. Ideal candidate would have strong background and experience with power delivery including power supply and voltage regulation. Basic understanding of signal integrity also desired.
High-level working knowledge of overall platform and phone/tablet architecture (hardware, software, and firmware) including I/O and communication.

Tools: Experience with EDA design environments is highly desired as well as familiarity with debug tools and methods.

Strong Personal Skills: Competent communication including spoken and written English and strong interpersonal skills to effectively work with customers and cross functional teams in multiple geographies
Structure problem solving specifically with the ability to independently isolate technical issues and debug its root cause and drive to its closure

Stakeholder and conflict management skills: Ability and interest to travel to conduct business with customers in PRC and other geographies

Experience in Android and/or Windows telephony systems is a plus.
