Role Summary/Purpose

As a Senior Systems Engineer of Subsea Production Systems in GE Oil and Gas business, he / she is responsible for the front end engineering development (FEED) activities, which will involve interfacing to the ITT group（Invitation to Tender）. Other duties will include from time to time performing OTR ( Order to Remittance) execution of subsea systems and also providing support to tendering & ITT. This includes responsibility for conceptual and embodiment layout activities for pre-tende

Essential Responsibilities

• Demonstrate leadership and provide technical direction for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel; Manage key performance indicators of engineering quality, on-time delivery, productivity and efficiency. • Be close to the customer in early phase of field engineeing; Identify the need for new products and technology to enhance GE's position as a total system provider. • Establish and maintain relationships with required external and internal interfaces to ensure that customer requirements are understood and being achieved. • Execute with less guidance the analysis/evaluation/planning of assigned projects that meet business standards, practices and procedures, and the product/program requirements. • Develop conceptual design requirements for customer and undertake concept design reviews where appropriate. Participate with the customer in undertaking these reviews and gain acceptance for Design Specification/Basis. • Develop an overall project verification plan. Where appropriate include verification requirements from third parties and the customer. • Effectively communicate project / program status, business challenges and solutions in technical and financial aspects of section activities vertically and horizontally in the organization. • Identify and ensure equipment is designed in accordance with the current Health, Safety and Environmental legislation. • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures. • Build and maintain close connection and relationship with global engineering Center of Excellence at multiple sites worldwide; Drive the integration and globalization. • Work closely with the China customers’ Technical Institute. • Drive cost-out of existing products and solutions, and support global sourcing and supply chain activities, like supplier deviation request, first piece qualification. • Provide manufacturing support and / or filed support as required.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Master of Science or above, in Subsea, Mechanical Engineering or Instrumentation & Control Engineering • 10+ years of engineering experience in Subsea systems area of Oil and Gas industry. • Can demonstrate good EPC project execution experience • Familiarity with specification, design, test and installation of Subsea systems. • Has good system concept appreciation • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional, cross-country environment. • Excellent oral and written communication/presentation skills. • Strong learning capability. • Fluent in English.

Desired Characteristics

• Experience in the oil or gas field. • Knowledge and experience in below aspects: o API codes for Subsea products o Subsea production systems o Flow Control equipment • Engineering experience with MNC. • Quality program experience: Six Sigma GB/BB, or Total Quality Management.
