Job Summary
· Reporting to the Senior Quality and Engineering Manager, this role is primarily responsible for managing the quality performance of product suppliers. She/he is the operational quality owner of a designated group of supplier. This includes working closely with supplier to work out / implement the quality control process, assess / monitor the production / product quality performance, resolve quality issues and develop corrective / preventive measures to ensure that customer quality criteria are met ; this role requires considerable travel and on-site participation at supplier locations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· New Model Introduction (Approximately 30% of time)

Align product specification, compliance requirement and quality test plan with Project Team
Review the quality and compliance testing result on new products. Assess the process capability on trial run/pre-production. Ensure all necessary quality validations are conducted before production start
Conduct PP Meeting (quality readiness gating) with supplier. Define / align / deploy product quality requirement and acceptance criteria to supplier
Oversee the quality assurance inspection on initial batches and grant quality green-light on the first shipment of new products
· On-Going Production (Approximately 70% of time)

Develop, implement and manage the quality metrics and quality reporting systems with supplier
Collaborate with suppliers on process control and capability measurement and investigating methods for process improvement to deliver more reliable in-process and outgoing Quality.
With the support of the Quality Technician, to regularly assess the product and process quality performance of supplier, to identify improvement opportunity and correct all quality deviation
Lead all supplier quality incident investigation, resolution and reporting ; issue CPAR to supplier when quality non-conformance is detected ; to follow through with supplier on root cause analysis as well as the formulation of corrective and preventive actions
To resolve field quality complaint with supplier
Train and develop supplier Quality personnel in best practice, tools and processes to deliver World Class Quality Management Systems.
Establish the quality log book for each supplier to track the quality improvement history
Conduct regular quality review meeting with supplier and actively drive for continuous quality improvement
Raise quality alert whenever adverse quality situation happens. Propose necessary measure to avoid quality loss, including stop production, on-hold shipment, sorting, rework on WIP, . . .
Ban all non-approved product changes


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
· Detailed understanding on the manufacturing, quality control and quality testing on cut-and-sew products

· Knowledge on quality management principles, quality tools and 5S

· Experience in supplier management, able to communicate with supplier in effective and efficiency manner

· High degree of initiative, accountability and strong career-orientation, able to work under pressure

· General analytical and problem solving ability.

· Good communication in Mandarin//Cantonese. Fluent English verbal communication is preferred

· Expertise in standard desktop applications, e.g. Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

· Strong teaming/interpersonal skills.



Education and/or Experience
· Technical graduate from University or College

· More than 5 years related work experience

· Quality Management in a Manufacturing/Engineered Product environment.

· Interfacing and collaborating with suppliers and customers

· Proven track record of quality improvements in production environments.
