Role Summary/Purpose

The Risk Leader, PGS Asia will be responsible and lead the various contract, portfolio and enterprise risk management for PGS in Asia together with a team of risk analyst/specialists spread across various countries. The incumbent will drive contract risk mitigation strategies that seek to optimize business growth in both volume and margin while protecting potential downsides.

Essential Responsibilities

• To governance the draft and negotiate contract agreements for all PGS in Asia. • Drive compliance on risk management processes and controls, per the business delegations of authority. • Lead a regional Risk Council where region relevant topics are being discussed and risk mitigating responses are being developed. Understand portfolio dynamics and design mitigation strategies. • Identify quality issues (gaps overlaps) with business processes that may lead to incremental ITO or OTR risks. Resolve as required. Provide claims & dispute management support throughout the execution of the contracts, as necessary. • Drive process adherence to Policy 5.0 • Lead Risk management strategies at the customer account level. Provide customer negotiation support working with the PGS ITO & OTR teams. • Implement new risk management processes where needed. Design processes that will loopback execution learning’s into the new contract mitigation strategies • Provide ongoing communication and training on the topic of risk management. Support initiatives to provide legal training for the broader region teams, particularly on contract terms and conditions and interpretations • Remain up-to-date on regional external / market developments that may have an impact on the risk management strategies. Support Global Risk initiatives and process developments • Be part of a PGS Asia regional management team and support strategic decision making. Maintain solid relationships with regional functional and business leaders.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of eight years working experience, preferred with recent experiences in the power generation or aircraft engine industry.• Degree in Finance, Engineering, or a Juris Doctorate (or equivalent).• Fundamental technical understanding of gas turbine and power plant operations.• Strong analytical and data analysis skills.• Ability to deal in a highly effective manner at both a detailed and strategic level.• Excellent communication & presentation skills and the ability to work across organizations• Strong controllership perspective and ability to understand complex accounting concepts.• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks at one time.• Ability to lead a cultural diverse team across the region.• Fluency in other language in addition to English an advantage.

Desired Characteristics

• Hands on experience in GE Energy or Aircraft Engineering, Power Plant design, or Power Plant Operations.• Advanced degree in Engineering or an MBA; or GE Corporate Audit Staff.• BB or MBB certification.• Experience with complex contract structures.
