We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Software Engineer.
Principal responsibilities :
- Impact analysis for the requirements
- Solution design (low level design) proposal
- Solution development and test automation (unit test automation, service level test automation)
- Solution deployment (using Jenkins CICD pipeline, included code scanning, build, deployment)
- Test and production support (environment setup/preparation, release/go live, defect, incident)
Continuous improve on the technical and engineer practices

Qualifications :
-Experience of designing highly scalable, supportable applications.
-Experience in J2SE, J2EE, Spring/SpringBoot, MVC, and SQL.
-Familiar with design patterns and UML, BPMN.
-Familiarity with the HSBC standards and processes would be useful.
-Good understanding of IT systems functioning in general.
-Commercial acumen and good risk management and mitigation skills.
-Effective communication skills in spoken and written English.
-With a positive, proactive and can do attitude.
The following experience and knowledge will have advantages:
- Understanding in banking operations and domain knowledge
- Hands on experience on modeling data using Erwin, IDA, etc.
- Project-based experience
- At least 1 year of experience in Alicloud / GCP
- For Alicloud, Putonghua is strongly preferred
- Experience and knowledge of architecture framework or governance framework, such as TOGAF, IFW, etc.
- Exposure to data process architecture design, such as Lamda
- Exposure to unstructured data solution, e.g. NoSQL database, graphical database, in memory database etc
- Exposure to microservices design and solutions, e.g. API, Publish / Subscribe, Message Queues, Kubernetes-hosted solution etc
- Exposure on programming model / framework, e.g. Spark, Apache Beam, Spring Boot
- Agile project with CI/CD experience
Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.
