SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Software Engineer (software developer) is responsible for translating product specifications into usable software code which can be distributed to customers. The Software Engineer uses development tools to create software solutions that meet project requirements, while ensuring the products comply with industry standards for performance, quality and usability. They are also responsible for ensuring compliance to company standards and project methodologies including Agile and stage-gate development. The Software Engineer works primarily with analysts, software architects and project managers to clarify product requirements, create development plans, and design and deliver tangible results.

The Software Engineer is also responsible for evaluating specific functional and performance-related customer needs as they are identified, and in providing a software design path to meeting those customer needs.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

*Handles level 2 and level 3 technical support issues.

*Implements minor software features and bug fixing with minimum mentoring.

*Performs peer review on code changes and solutions.

*Follows software development process and other instructions.

*Ensure the robustness of software deliverables in terms of scalability, reliability and sustainability.

QUALIFICATIONS

TECHNICAL/KNOWLEDGE: 

*Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field is required.

*Minimum 3 years software development experience on C# and MS. NET framework is required.

*SQL programming experience is required.

*Good read and written English is required.

*Experience on technical support is highly preferred.

*Familiar with Agile and Scrum methodology is highly preferred.

*Normal daily work environment will be in a typical office environment.

*Minimal travel is expected.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

*Normal daily work aside from occasional customer site visits.

*May require prolonged sitting.
