Key Responsibilities
? Carry out supplier assessment and validation audits
? Lead the supplier approval process by assessing manufacturing/technology capabilities and Health, Safety and Environmental risks
? Support new product launches to ensure that supplier quality meets the required standards
? Product performance verification by a third party lab. Management of the sample logistics, data, and review process.
? Drive supplier product quality planning (PQP) to meet quality and timing expectations for production part approval (PPAP).
? Work with Development (In USA) & Technical Manager (China) to define product & process parameters and criteria to ensure supplier process capability is effective to meet product and process requirements
? Facilitate root cause analysis and corrective actions of supplier quality and capacity issues
? Perform on-site supplier visits for root cause analysis and verification of correction actions of supplier quality issues
? Review supplier manufacturing processes, collaborate with suppliers on process improvement and value enhancement opportunities (VA/VE)
? Promote the use of preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), Measurement System Analysis, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
? Provide concise, complete and accurate documentation of inspection results relative to area of responsibility.
? Facilitate the escalation of unresolved supplier quality issues within assigned projects and suppliers
? Report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in order to support, monitor and report on supplier product quality and performance
? Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements
? Manage and coordinate supplier score card- Parts Per Million (PPM), supplier problem solving on time, cost recovery and other performance indicators
? Undertake special projects as required; contribute to continuous improvement activities

Key Requirements
? 2 plus years’ experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer. Certified as a black belt will be a plus.
? Engineering Degree or Science Degree
? Strong written and oral communication skills.
? Should take ownership for project objectives and work with suppliers and customers on quality related topics.
? Work in a collaborative environment with both internal development teams and external suppliers, manufacturing partners and customers."
