职位描述
This Textile Sourcing Manager will have responsibility for a multi-million-dollar portfolio of diverse textile and chemical raw materials and toll operations. The Sourcing Manager for the Textile Division is responsible for the development of material and manufacturing sourcing options for new product development initiatives. Additional responsibilities include assisting in the development of contract manufacturing and material sourcing strategies and managing supplier relationships at all levels for the Division. Baseline expectations are to continuously deliver value by ensuring supply of materials and services necessary to meet business objectives. This position requires a solid technical background, previous sourcing experience, preferably in manufacturing in textiles and, or the specialty and/or commodity chemicals markets. This individual must be able to work effectively with key suppliers, and work in close collaboration with R&D, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Regulatory and Business Leaders in the Textile Division.
Key Responsibilities
? Develop and execute strategies for supply of material commodity item, or group, ensuring the needs of the Division are met.
? Negotiate and facilitate administration of contracts with toll manufacturers ensuring adherence to terms and conditions enabling the availability of product to meet the needs of the Division, while striving for continuous improvement in cost, delivery, quality, and safety.
? Support Division leadership by negotiating, constructing, and implementing agreements, tracking supplier performance and resolving supply issues
? Within the bounds of the Global Strategies, develop and own negotiation and relationship strategies with the key material or service providers to the Division
? Work collaboratively with the business and supply chain leaders to quantify requirements and manage the supply chain strategies in assigned categories
? Analyze markets for emerging trends and forecasted developments in manager’s assigned categories. Deep understanding of relevant market dynamics/conditions and price forecasting methodologies.
? Prepare strategic category plans, develop sourcing strategies, and manage the strategic sourcing process to align with agreed functional and business objectives and processes.
? Monitor and report market and material pricing to internal business partners to enable sales price adjustments as appropriate.
? Ensure that interactions with supplier do not compromise primary or secondary business strategies relative to enablement of competitors
? Ensure internal stake holders, as necessary, are aligned with and enhance the negotiation process
? Owns communication flow to, and from, supplier to necessary stake holders in the Division
? Apply SAP, Microsoft Business Intelligence and QlikView tools in the development of Sourcing analytics.
? Develop, track and measure all cost savings activities to include negotiated price savings as well as engineered cost reductions
Key Requirements
? 2 - 7 years of applicable purchasing or sourcing experience.
? 4 - 7 years of manufacturing plant floor, supply chain, and/or product development experience
? Bachelor of Science degree in Textiles, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical experiences. MBA is a plus.
? Proven project management experience
? Experience traveling to and assessing supplier capabilities
? R&D experience and product management experience a plus
? Experience using online sourcing tools and analytics.
? Proficient in SAP (or similar ERP), ARIBA, Microsoft Office, etc.
? Proficient in Microsoft Office, experience in data base management a plus
? Demonstrated strategic sourcing and negotiating skills; knowledge in contract negotiations and administration of contracts.
? Strong leadership presence with proven ability to positively influence supplier relationships.
? Strong project management skills with the ability to influence and facilitate cross-functional teams involving multiple functions with competing goals
? Results oriented with strong negotiation skills and track record of meeting and exceeding commitments.
? Strong bias for continuous improvement; professionally curious and open to change.
? Strong communication skills with an ability to present technical information to all levels of the organization and key suppliers
? Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with the potential for rapidly changing priorities.
? Bias for understanding business needs and the ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence with internal stakeholders
? Excellent analytical skills. Proficient in data analysis and presentation.
