We have an opening for a Technical Product Development Specialist focused in appliances and electronics. Candidate will be based in our Shanghai Sourcing Office.

This person is responsible for resolving engineering and technical issues to ensure that developed products can meet our quality requirements and also follow the specifications and standards of the major worldwide markets.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

? Responsible for the overall design, analysis, documentation and functional validation of electronics, and mechanical components and assemblies;
? Support the development and customization for new products and related accessories;
? Provide technical oversight to product design team in Europe to inspire innovation and drive data-based engineering decisions;
? Validate initial designs via analysis, prototyping and testing with manufacturing partners in China to increase efficiency of our development process;
? Work with our manufacturers and 3rd party Quality Assurance and Testing teams to define and implement validation testing plans and ensure products meet reliability requirements;
? Interface with Head Office management to ensure that cost, schedule, reliability and performance targets of consumer products and its components are achieved;
? Ensure successful development of the final product and ensure that electronics and mechanical parts are up to our internal standards and other international standards and regulations by means of: pre-production meetings, performing first-article inspections, final random inspections, manufacturing process capabilities assessments, material certifications checking, parts and components testing documents review, etc…
 
Skills & Experience

Required Experience/skills:

? Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in appliances/electronics in product quality, design and development, preferably working for EU or American companies;
? Experience in following up the development of products in these areas: home appliances, personal care, health & home products, home electronics, electric mobility;
? Advance knowledge and experience in quality and testing standards for appliances and electronics, and laboratory testing reports revision;
? Strong knowledge of safety and legal requirements for appliances and electronics in major worldwide markets (European Union, USA, China, Japan…)

? Experience with Asia ODM partners and manufacturing suppliers;

? Technical education background (Engineering, Electronics, Quality...);

? Self-motivated, Good communications & interpersonal skill, Analytical minded;
? Good command of both spoken and written English and Chinese;
