·        Assimilates corporate & divisional SCM goals by defining regional supplier development / quality strategies which meet or exceed high level objectives.

·        Builds functional excellence and organizational capability, in region, by developing commodity/process expertise that supports localization and BCC strategies.

·        Supports global program launches in the region, such as DS Clutch, Light Duty manual transmissions, and new regional program launches commodity including the development of stamping, casting, gear, shaft, steel, plastic, electrics, other turning parts suppliers

·        Determines regional staffing needs and manages local recruiting efforts.

·        Drives standardization and continuity of Eaton’s supplier quality policies, procedures and processes within region.

·        Works cross-functionally with global SCM, Engineering, OpEx and Operations to ensure supplier sourcing, launch and on-going performance meet defined targets and overall business needs.

·        Monitors regional supplier quality metrics – addressing performance gaps through defined recovery plans.

·        Leads external customer reviews related to quality performance at strategic and/or underperforming suppliers.  

·        Acts as regional escalation point for supplier related quality disputes – providing updates to senior leadership as appropriate.

·        Manages Supplier Development Engineer’s day-to-day activities to ensure that work being done is aligned to business priority.

·        Provides technical guidance and solution internal to Eaton and to supply base.

·        Travels to supplier locations in response to a supplier related quality issue, providing technical leadership and communications back to the Eaton businesses.

Requirement:

·        Technical degree in engineering discipline or equivalent work experience

·        6-10 years plant manufacturing experience

·        6-10 years’ experience in Automotive Industry core tools AIAG (PPAP, APQP)

·        Knowledge of Automotive Industry quality registration specifics (ISO/TS16949)

·        ASQ CQE certified

·        Working toward or certified CQM/OE.

·        Green Belt certified is preferred.

·        Previous experience managing people
