We are looking for an experienced merchandiser to be focusing in hardline items. The candidate will be based in Shanghai.

Some of the main activities will be product sourcing, supplier/fairs visit, order & production follow-up, general support & coordination of the company processes, and any other projects and/or priorities.

Responsibilities included but not limited to:

• Sourcing of products and suppliers.
• Negotiation of price, terms and conditions.
• Fluent and daily communication with buyers and suppliers.
• Watch closely the order process from sourcing to shipment.  
• Available to travel in Mainland China to visit suppliers and perform quality and container loading inspections (when applicable).

 Skills & Experience

Required Experience/skills:

• 3-5 years’ or above merchandising experience in buying office or trading company.
• Experience in hardline / household industry for EU/US market, familiar with products and the safety standards requirements for EU market.
• Previous experience in any of the following categories: furniture, small appliances, electronics, household & decorations, or home textiles will be highly appreciated.
• Own brand products development (Private label) marks, packaging, etc…
• Lab testing reports revision.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organization skills, proactive, and highly motivated.
• Mastering Reporting tools (Excel, Word, PPT, etc...)
• Fluent in English (oral, reading & written)
• Candidates with less experience will also be considered as junior merchandisers.

Preferred Experience/Skills:

• Knowledge of Spanish (an advantage).
• Experience in e-commerce (an advantage).
