Overall Purpose of Job

l The Prime role of the Cost Estimating Analyst is to be responsible for supporting product line quotation analysis in China.


Major Responsibilities

List the major responsibilities and accountabilities of this position. Include quantifiable data where appropriate (i.e. budget dollars, etc.)

· Play a key role in the cost estimating process, and prepare business cases for quotations by working with all functions in the organization independently

· Support CQA process in Asia Pacific

· Develop and maintain cost models to project product costs

· Carry out make vs. buy analysis for business decision

· Responsible for maintaining cost database

· Assist competitive analysis to develop competitors product cost

· Work with the cost specialists in Asia Pacific plants to ensure the standard cost system is maintained and updated on a timely basis

· Assist in special projects as required

Education & Work Experience

Education: Bachelor's degree in business, finance or accounting. CPA, CMA or other professional certification preferred.


Language: Strong English speaking and writing abilities


Experience: Finance experience 2-5 years preferably in a multinational environment. Plant experience in the manufacturing industry desired. Experience in automotive manufacturing industry is a plus
