Overall Purpose of Job:

This should be a broad overview of the position. Include overall scope of position and a description of authority the position has for programs/projects/operations and establishing policies.





· Production Planning Supervisor, AP is responsible for driving Supply chain improvements related to Lean production & capacity planning, demand management on finished good side.

· Drive standardization in production planning practices across Asia Pacific plants by - educating plants on standard Work Instruction, Procedure, Training material, Finished Goods Inventory reviews & on site workshops on Finished Goods Scheduling & Capacity analysis.

· In addition, coordinate Supply chain relates for Braking Product Line with existing & especially new plants. Imparting training, crisis management, new plant support, material planning optimization, warehousing improvement, new project support & key metrics review.

· Candidate must be hands on with detail Production planning knowledge especially ERP/MRP concepts & other aspects of Supply chain- Material planning, Logistics & Warehousing. Capable to interact effectively with all levels from Shop Floor to Leadership.




Major Responsibilities:

· Compile timely customer forecast (actual plus forecast) for TRW key platforms & consolidate into China customer volume update. Follow up with plants to ensure customer forecast accuracy.




· Drive Lean Scheduling Implementation in Asia plants - using a standardized lean methodology to drive Schedule Attainment, On Time Delivery and Finished Goods Min & Max. Focus on regular review and support to plants.



· Coordinate on Production planning Initiatives within the Region for Asia Pacific plants



· Weekly monitoring of following for all plants

o Finished Goods Ideal Inventory trend

o Attend Regional Weekly Inventory Review Meeting



· Coordinate closely with Sales team on Customer T&C

o Contract terms

§ Firm & Forecast Periods ; Fluctuation ; Liability clause



l Monthly reviews on FG excess & obsolete, extend support to sell same to Inter-company & escalate to Sales.

· Weekly monitoring of following for all plants

o Finished Goods Ideal Inventory trend

o Attend Regional Weekly Inventory Review Meeting



· Coordinate closely with Sales team on Customer T&C

o Contract terms

· Drive Supply chain metrics within Product Line related to On Time Delivery performance, Inventory & Days, Logistics cost optimization including premium freight management.









· Work closely with Supply chain managers of Braking plants in AP to improve overall Supply chain optimization by-

o Supporting new project launch matters

o Intercompany matters related to Supply chain

o On Site Inventory / Cash Workshops

o Support during crisis management

o Capacity analysis as applicable



· Pursue Asia Pacific Supply chain vision with all Braking plants

o Standardization - Procedures

o Work closely with IS on advanced Scheduling tool development and implementation

o Drive Supply chain & IS Vision

§ QAD Reports

§ EDI & Bar coding

§ QAD e-Module training

§ Strong follow up on Health of ERP system

o Inventory Vision <= 15 Days & Freight < 2.5% of Sales (without modules)

§ Support short term & long terms initiatives



· Coordinate with Purchasing on Supplier terms & conditions matters to reduce Inventory/ improve Cash flow of Braking plants

· Hands on previous experience a must in areas of Production, Material planning with sound knowledge on Warehousing systems

· Analytical skills to map business processes related to Production Planning Management

· ERP experience with good know how on SAP/QAD/ORACLE is a must

· Thorough Knowledge on Production Planning systems & procedure

· Lean knowledge required related to Order to Cash process

· 6 Sigma Certification at least Green belt











Education and Experience:

Education:

· BS degree or above

· Prefer - Specialization in Operations or Supply chain

· APICS certified - American Production Inventory Control Society



Language: English and Chinese are a must



Experience:

· 6~7 Years working experience , Preference Working experience in MNC companies

· 2+ Years experience in Regional roles managing, interacting with multiple sites, Past experience on helping multiple plants within Region required

· Knowledge on Production Planning systems a must

· ERP experience a must - QAD, SAP, Oracle
