Role Summary/Purpose

The Materials & Capacity Planning Leader demonstrates leadership in communicating business goals, programs, and processes for an area or business segment. In this role you will utilize your experience or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Essential Responsibilities

Responsible for scheduling of material & production capacity base on the input of business needs, resolving issues, tracking material availability and advising on material usage and availability of production capacity meets business growth. Maintain material information at ERP system and guaranty the accuracy of ERP data base. Design and implement material flow and systems for control and replenishment of materials. Responsible for material OTD, to support production running sufficient and OTD of customer. Promote Just In Time philosophy, and design/implement the JST process. Responsible for inventory control, reach the target and improve the inventory turn continuously. Responsible for import/export process, ensure all activity meet China regulation and other regulation if required; continue the cost reduction of logistics and other related operation aspect.. Promote customer satisfaction and develop positive customer relationships. Responsible for attaining all aspects of production operation including EHS, scheduling, quality, and team development in assigned areas. Conduct and always seeking the opportunity of process simplification, effectiveness and efficiency. Leading a team and act as change agent, understanding and moving the operation toward world-class performance.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college and at least 8 years of manufacturing / material planning / logistic & procurement experience.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred• Ability to make data driven decisions and utilize Six Sigma and Lean tools• Knowledge of import/export process and regulation• Strong background in data analysis• Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail• Ability to prioritize and strong execution capability• Leadership Program Graduate is preferred (GE employees only)• Ability to manage multiple assignments • Knowledge of ISO/quality procedures and ERP system (SAP preferred).• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.• Strong oral and written communication skills.• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.• Six Sigma training is preferred.
