Role Summary/Purpose
This function supports our aircraft systems and engine product lines with a 24/7 on-shift team in the AOC. The Technical Support Engineer (TSE) provides the initial point of contact for our customers (both internal & external) on technical issues relating to the range of Systems equipment (during the 1-2 year of employment) and jet engines (after 1-2 years) installed on in-service aircraft, providing quick resolution on customer issues or referring to product specialists.
Essential Responsibilities
• Provide initial focal contact to customers on both technical & non-technical issues affecting their day-to-day operation • Provide out of hours material support for AOG issues, including actioning and shipping of materials • Provide technical expertise and advice on defined major equipment in service • Maintain and develop a detailed knowledge of current and products about to enter service • Maintain a working relationship with civil systems OEM’s, relevant Engineering departments • Ensure traceability of customer queries using a Customer Query Tracking System to ensure customer actions are assigned clear ownership to ensure their timely conclusion. • Maintain knowledge of CAA, EASA, FAA, ISO9000 & GE Aviation procedures as appropriate
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor degree in Aerospace or Electrical/Electronics discipline• 3+ years experience in engineering with a broad base Aerospace background • Good interpersonal and communication skills• Fluent in Chinese and English• Computer literate & competent in use of Microsoft office products• Ability to work on own initiative

- Strong oral and written communication skills- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills- Proven analytical and quality improvement ability- Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting and problem solving- Ability to make formal presentations to all audiences- Ability to interface with customers and GE FSEs- Project management or supervisory experience is preferred- Demonstrated ability to lead and influence GE customer and peers- Greenbelt certified
