Materials Program Manager
Work Location: Shanghai

Job Description:
Plans/manages technical programs or projects to meet specific objectives or goals. Provides leadership for the project team and key interfaces to the project or program. Works on problems/tasks in delivery of a specific product or service. Identify tasks, determine dependencies, identify and assign specific resources, communicate expectations to team members, obtain task effort and duration estimates from team members, and create/track the project schedule. Assess risk and identify issues. Monitor progress against schedule. Coordinate resources with other functions. Review user and technical requirements for completeness and clarity. Requires thorough knowledge of business practices and procedures in order to perform non repetitive, analytical work. Provide solutions to a wide range of difficult problems.

Qualification:
The candidate is expected to act as the single point of contact with regards to any material issues on a program, for all customers, both Internal and External.
The job responsibilities could include but not limited to the below:

BOM Management:
- Works with Customers, BOM Coordinators, and MEs to ensure Speed BOM is created and downloaded to MSAP.
- Works with PM and Planning to ensure that the BOM is loaded into Planning tools to drive capacity and materials.
- Provides material sourcing support to DE, if required.
- Works with BU DE's to evaluate risk and impact of BOM change. Responsible for all communication from MEs and BUs to the BOM coordinator.

Supply Line Management:
- Maintain healthy raw materials supply line to ensure materials is not gating factor to build schedule or silicon validation timelines.
- Takes a proactive role in communicating out to all stakeholders any supply line issues, longest lead time parts or high risk areas with regard to supporting the build plan.
- Communicate out any planned line load shortages with mitigation plan.
- Responsible for working with Buyer or Materials Engineer to resolve any line load shortages/material issues during build.
- Works with PM and planner, as required, to align build plan to meet material availability

Inventory Management:
- Works with buyer to identify and track excess material caused by supplier MOQ and/or BOM changes.
- Requests BU approval for MOQ and Strategic purchases and archives approval.
- Provides regular updates to the PDT/ customer as needed.
