Role Summary/Purpose

The China Thermal & Gasification communication manager is responsible for the strategic relationship with the Business leadership, developed by identifying needs, integrating multiple communication strategies, and working with the broader Communication team to execute those strategies, for all key audiences both internal & external. This candidate will have responsibility for Thermal Products and Services communications in China. In addition, the candidate will support GE’s Gasification busine

Essential Responsibilities

•Own, develop, and execute a comprehensive communications strategy that supports the strategic and operating goals of GE’s Thermal Products, Thermal Services and Gasification businesses in China. Including all product marketing communications, employee communications, public relations and media strategy. •Projects include employee communications, customer communications activities, business press relations, branding, product collateral, executive presentations, advertising & promotions, web content, Volunteerism and events. •Ability to work in close collaboration with product management/marketing teams. •Act as primary contact and spokesperson for the business in all media activities.

Qualifications/Requirements

•Bachelor's Degree.•Minimum of 6 years of experience in Corporate Communications, Public Relations/Agency, Marketing or Marketing Communications.

Desired Characteristics

•Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, English, or Marketing is preferred.•Proven ability to develop and implement communications campaigns.•Strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills with the ability to conceptualize, structure, write, and present compelling stories for a wide range of audiences.•Hands-on as well as strategic. •Strong project management/process skills. Capability to manage a number of programs/projects simultaneously.•Excellent business acumen•Ability to effectively interact at all levels of the organization from senior level executives to all other employment segments.•Broad knowledge of print, video and digital media technologies.
