Guide the product roadmap development and create/implement Product Marketing plans including segmentation and targeting, product configuration and marketing communications plan.
Essential Responsibilities
• Driving the use of market research to identify opportunities and clinical trends, integrate competitive intelligence into marketing planning and assess competitor portfolios • Owning the Growth Playbook process for a product/portfolio • Understanding customer’s clinical and economic needs, as well as values and benefits sought. Develop Marketing Blue print for product line • Spurring innovation & creative thinking as a process based on customer needs in conjunction with P&L leaders and overall business innovation strategy • Deliver market forecasts and business case for products/upgrades that are at concept stage, work with Business Analysis and Global Design to develop, test and prototype new product ideas • Facilitate innovative total customer offering development to ensure customer • Partner with internal and external domain experts to highlight emerging practice trends and product/content needs of the customer. • Key contributor to Growth Playbook, ensuring regional plans & executions are aligned with global marketing plan (value proposition, positioning, marketing mix, etc.) • Define and develop a strategy to address various healthcare markets, such as hospital segment, RHIN segment, digital health, community solution. This includes: Defining the strategy for the growth (sales and profitability) Obtaining the input and buy in of key stakeholders within the modalities/P&Ls Driving the delivery of the strategy cross-business Partnering with Business Development to identify new business opportunities • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge and understanding of trends and requirements in the defined healthcare market. • Identify the product or application profile, product definition required to meet current unmet needs and take the lead role on portfolio management. Provide product definition & roadmap input to R&D team. Connect with Global product marketing team. • Develop the business cases for lead projects (for presentation to the Portfolio Strategy board) and lead such projects through to launch. Transition to product and operational marketing post-launch. • Establish tradeoffs between internal development and business partnership activities with strategic partners-including contract negotiations and maintenance, product changes, forecasting and financials. • Align cross-business marketing resources around healthcare market priorities and ensure we deliver common messaging and a holistic value proposition for the customer. • Evangelize for the product by presenting to customers and users groups; represent the product at trade shows and with media; sell product roadmap internally; participate in winning large deals; provide sales training, and generate enthusiasm for the product.
Qualifications/Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Product Management, Sales/Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, healthcare or related field • 3+ years’ experience in product portfolio, product development, sales, or related field • 5+ years’ experience in Healthcare IT, hospital management, clinical document management, and clinical practice management. • Best understanding Healthcare IT standard, such as HL7, DICOM, ICD-10, CDA, XDS • Experience Tele-Medicine, RHIN, digital hospital, mobile solution, hospital QC, etc. • Prior experience in a leadership role with direct reports • Excellent oral and written communications skills • Strong analytical and process skills • Strong project management skills • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment • Willing to travel 50% time
Desired Characteristics
• MBA or Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering or related field. • Deep product management/marketing expertise, including: market trend/analysis, NPI process, product roadmap development, requirements, and product life-cycle management. • ICFC, CIC funding process/management. • Degree and practice in a clinical discipline • Healthcare product/industry/technical acumen • Leadership skills to lead teams and shape/lead growth vision and marketing strategy • Innovation – develop new ideas through collaboration and execute on creative ideas • Team oriented – ability to motivate and work well with diverse, cross-functional teams • Proven ability to work globally • Proven ability to influence and negotiate internally and with customers.
