Location: Shanghai, China (First 6-months in Calgary, Alberta, Canada)
Travel: Will require to travel to Canada for ~approximately 6-months for preliminary engineering training. All transit (flights) and business travel will be included by Tartan Energy Group

Duties and responsibilities: You will join our team as Junior Process Engineer. This is a full-time position. Your duties and responsibilities are listed on the Junior Process Engineer description but not limited. You also agree to devote all of your working time and all of your skill, ability and energy to complete all the works the company may assign during your employment, including any goals or expectations for your job responsibilities and description.
As an Junior Process Engineer of Tartan Gas Process Solution Inc., you are responsible for taking on an integrated role in process engineering that affects our company and will provide strategic inputs to senior management while keenly overseeing the overall engineering process. You will play a comprehensive role in developing, implementing, and managing procedures to improve and maintain the technical expertise of our firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing support in developing the project proposals consisting of dehydration, amine, and Sulphur units
- Providing comprehensive design services by establishing design criteria and preparing of specifications, design computations, drawings, and models
- Participating in the design of component parts and individual units, exercising cost control, reviewing and monitoring designs for conformance with control estimates and project specifications
- Review quotations, drawings and specifications for technical adequacy and conformance with project requirements
- Review and maintain project schedules, engineering tasks and deliverables in conjunction with project management
- Participating in design reviews and Hazard and Operability Studies (HAZOPs)
- Prepare or assist in the preparation of discipline inputs for cost estimates for proposals
- Apply advanced engineering techniques and analyses to solving engineering tasks
- Being able to meet safety requirements to attend site visits
