Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

Serve as a Manager, with primary responsibility for project management of assigned company General Capability Building initiatives. This position requires the Manager to: • Demonstrate leadership in communicating business goals, team objectives, team build-up, task integration, general capability building management process set-up. • Utilize experience or expertise to solve internal / external problems, develop and execute objectives for self and teams. • Have the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals. • Provide direction across general capability teams, including engineering tools team, engineering training team, IDP team, and Test Bench team, for: o Status reporting rhythm and requirements; o Metrics requirements ; o Master schedule; o Budget allocation/authorization/amendments; o Risk management; • Develop and manage integrated master schedule of general capability building; • Manage the budget allocation, track and control the cost of general capability building; • Identify and manage risks associated with general capability building projects; Specific job responsibilities include organizing, managing and supervising project team task / objectives with process, and coordinating with C919 engineering / program management. Detailed responsibilities include activities listed below: • Implement capability build requirements consistent with business needs • Supervise and track execution to plan, with respect to cost, and schedule, identify and manage risk, • Provide Engineering leadership with regular reports of project status. • Build up project management process for General Capability Building • In charge of internal & external cross-function communication and cooperation for assigned projects. • Manage the implementation of engineering training initiatives and the development of training materials required by various sources. • Supervise the engineering tools implementation project team. • Supervise the IDP function capability building. • Monitor the Test Bench function capability building being performed as part of ongoing company development program(s).  

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelors’ degree in Engineering or Science from an accredited university or college• At least 3 years of experience of management experience• Strong oral and written communication skills, including English and Mandarin• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills• Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers and partners• Good management ability

Desired Characteristics

• Avionics Engineering degree preferred• At least 5 years of experience in Avionics Industry• PMI (Project Management Institute) certification and program management experience preferred• Experience with test systems, tools and training in avionics background preferred• Good business acumen
