Job Description – Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (UAV)

Our local engineering team also supports key global programs for Airbus, Boeing, Dassault, Embraer, and Gulfstream.

Description:

The individual assigned will be responsible for 3D & 2D Mechanical Design and Documentation of new products developed. This role will cooperate with System Engineer, Aircraft Designer and Hardware Designer, to meet the specific product requirements including quick assemble, weather seal, thermal, electromagnetic shielding and weight. The job requires mechanical analysis for parts and top assembly of product, rapid prototyping and developing process instructions for mass production.

Responsibilities:
? Develop mechanical components and products to fulfill all functional requirements
? Perform the preliminary engineering analysis, tolerance stack-up and trade study
? Create components and product detail models and drawings by using Siemens NX
? Collaborate with project team from internal Honeywell and partners outside of Honeywell to improve the areas of product design and related manufacturing process


Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or higher
? 5+ years of experience in mechanical structure and assembly design
? Full cycle product design experience in Consumer Electronics is preferred.
? Demonstrated ability to use CAD software to create models and drawings. Experience with NX/Teamcenter is preferred.
? Good knowledge in design for manufacturing, prototyping, assembling and testing
? Experience in industrial design is preferred.
? RC aircraft enthusiast is preferred.
? Good command of spoken and written English
? Basic working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
? Critical thinking with exceptional problem solving skills, and able to work independently or in team environment
? Proactive, resourceful and highly motivated with good communication skills and ability to work in high output environment

Job location will be in Shanghai, Honeywell HTSC office in Zhang Jiang High-Tech Park
