Role Summary/Purpose

GE is an equal opportunity employer, offering a great work environment, challenging career opportunities, professional training and competitive compensation.The Chief Compliance Officer will establish a proper internal legal framework to help the business control overall compliance risk during operations, and to support the business’s growth strategy and commercial execution.

Essential Responsibilities

• In charge of legal and compliance for this joint venture entity; • Provide necessary legal advice for daily operations; • Perform forward-looking risk assessment and abatement; Analyze related data and provide constructive strategic responses; • Lead any internal compliance investigation; • Drive compliance initiatives such as periodic compliance reviews • Assist in the development of Compliance training & communications agenda and confirm effective delivery; partner with business leaders to organize internal and external compliance training; • Ensure ownership and timely completion of Compliance-related corrective actions; • Support business on commercial transactions.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and above in law;• Fluent (verbal and written) English and Mandarin is preferred;• 7-10 years of prior experience with a multi-national corporation. multi-national law firm or local complex organization performing compliance and commercial support;• Clear thinking essential – sound business perspective; good understanding of operational drivers; capacity to translate business strategy into action plans;• Strong leadership skills and Influence key decision making;• Attention to details, Excellent independent judgment; • Ability to work in a boundaryless environment and perform constantly and effectively under pressure when required;• Broad knowledge of legal/compliance risk areas;• Excellent facilitation, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills;
