Role Summary/Purpose

Essential Responsibilities

• Lead as single point of contact & point of escalation for all matters related to technology; • Staff the technology team and build a culture of creativity and innovation; • Ensure successful technology transfer and secure/protect intellectual property for AJV; • Shape the technology roadmap for the AJV for the short term and long term; • Lead strategic planning for technology programs and organization capabilities; • Lead the Op planning for technology, identifying the requirements, working with the stakeholders, and incorporating appropriately in the AJV wide financial plan; • Accountable for all the key metrics like Compliance, Safety, Quality, Timeliness and Cost (in terms of meeting the budgets) for all the programs executed by the technology team; • Report out in operating reviews with the AJV Leadership; • Establish consistent processes for career development, IDP, Salary planning; • Drive development and retention of talent, building a learning organization, and own the technical depth assessment of the AJV ; • Establish NPI process by leveraging parents and industry best practice; • Drive initiatives for process, engineering tools, productivity, Quality, and Lean Six Sigma; • Work closely with the AJV product line leaders, product managers, supply chain, and sourcing to drive World Class Quality and execution excellence ; • Report out to parent companies and incorporate best practices from parent companies.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, preferably electrical / electronic engineering;• 10+ years engineering experience in product development & technical management;• Minimum 5+ years of leading big and diverse teams;• Knowledge of Design for Quality, Design for Reliability and New Product Introduction; • Good command of English and Mandarin;• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate & empower others; • Proven ability to manage projects in a multitasking environment;• Ability to influence and gain commitment at all organizational levels and across functions;• Extensive background in industrial electronic product development and application;• Exposure to T&D Domain will be preferred in at least one of the following areas, Protection Controls, Substations, Communication, Power Quality, Sensing etc.

• Track record of successfully solving tough technical problems with reasonable cost, particularly in the area of transmission (T&D) and Energy Management, Distribution or Consumption of Energy;• Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, effective team building expertise, and ability to interact and function cooperatively with a multiple stakeholders, multi-functional teams and customers;• Good communicator at all levels of the business;• Strong technical aptitude, including applicable engineering tools and systems;• Demonstrated process orientation in execution;• Advanced degree in engineering, management, or business.
