Report to: Dept. Manager

Responsibility
1. Produce technical documentation
· Design software with guidance from Technical Managers and Technical Architects
· Define and document Product Specifications based on User Requirements
· Assist in preparation of task breakdown and estimation for development projects
· Recommend enhancements and technical approaches to existing software product
2. Product development & delivery
· Develop software products that satisfy Functional Specifications and User Requirements
· Follow development life cycle including design, code development, unit testing, rework, and release
· Comply with programming standards and processes approved by the Technical Managers and Technical Architects
· Provide technical leadership in planning, design, development, deployment, and enhancement of software product
3. Quality Assurance
· Update Design and Functional Specification documentation to reflect as-built product
· Analyze and rectify software defects
· Ensure appropriate level of quality by adhering to work practices
4. Knowledge Management
· Keep updated on new technologies
· Liaise with other teams to share information and assist in analysis where required
· Provide feedback for continuous improvement
· Maintain up to date documentation
· Assist Support Programmers in enhancing their product knowledge
· Develop product expertise in one or more areas
· Identify opportunities for future product improvement
5. Team Performance
· Maintain professional relationships with all stakeholders
· Key contributor to performance and development processes of the team
· Support team to identify & resolve problems
· Provide mentorship and coaching to colleagues
· Work in conjunction with team to facilitate and promote knowledge and skills enhancement

Requirement
1. Computer Science, Engineering, MIS or related field/equivalent experience
2. 3+ years as software engineer for windows platform development
3. Good English
4. C++ and/or C#
5. Understanding of implementing object oriented code (OOP)
6. MS development tools and Windows OS
7. Knowledge of the SDLC process, requirements and architecture
8. Understanding of good design principles
9. Experience with and estimation technique
10. Understanding of software testing principles and techniques
11. Understanding database design and processing would be advantageous
12. Team spirit, collaborative, good communication skills, detail oriented and flexibility
13. Strong analysis, problem solving and creative thinking skills
14. Ability to exercise independent judgment & take initiative
