Description
Responsibilities
Overall Responsibility: Own the complete responsibility of the Ericsson Resolution for the Trouble & Change Management systems from GNOC, being a part of GNOC Support Team.
Service: Ensure the availability and smooth running of the Trouble & Change management Service of ER.
New User Requirements: Creation of new users or modifications of the existing users according to access rights in ER as may be required by GNOC - Office Teams, along with adequate approval from user's respective managers.
Capacity Planning: Monitor and get implemented the changing requirements of the ER Application and highlight the need for expansions in time.
Maintenance: Maintain the ER Application completely along with records of the same by doing System Health Checkups, taking Backups etc.
Users Training: Ensure that the trainings related to the application is given to each and every user so as the application is used to its true potential.
Application Usage: Check for the misuse of the application and report the same to the Head: GNOC, if any.
Reviews: Ensure regular review meetings are held with the users (representatives) and take necessary actions, as and when required.
Maintenance of Agreements: Ensure that all AMC, Security Agreements, SLA/WLA, support processes and Licenses etc. are maintained and are processes in the due time frames, if required.
Security Aspect: Ensure that users are using the application in accordance with the security requirements like restricted access, user's right management and maintaining a user record.
Malicious Software: Ensure that the application, whether the hardware or software are free from any malicious attack and maintain a template for recording any possible attack.
Security Directives: Ensure that all the security aspects have been implemented at the ER System in accordance with security and risk management directives.
Security Incidence reporting: Ensure that all important security related incidents are reported to the security manager and/or to other teams concerned and if and when required, escalated to senior management.
Authority
Access to all commercial information about contract, POs etc.
Authorized to raise a change request for the application and approve documents Within the function.
Authorized to report security breach incidences.
Main Tasks
Monitor day to day smooth running and availability of the ER Application.
Ensure 24*7 fault monitoring of Service Network of Customers from GNOC.
Perform Routine Health check routines for ER system for preventive maintenance.
Integrate new monitoring requirements at ER depending on the inputs from GNOC Front Office and Back Office teams and approval of Head, GNOC.
Take care of the responsibilities in accordance with all contractual obligations and requirements.
Take Regular and timely backup of the application and maintain a record of the same.
Facilitate access rights to new users and perform deletion/modification of users as per the needs and review the users' access periodically.
Upon request provide management with ad hoc reports
Other Responsibilities
Business Objects (BO) Administration
Responsible for the administration, operations and maintenance of the BO (Business Objects)
Take necessary actions in co-ordination with Vendor Support Teams, if and when required.
Co-ordination with the Vendor for carrying out all necessary BO operations in co-ordination with GNOC project manager.
Follow ups with vendor like raising support calls etc. in case of any kind of failures in the BO Functionality.

Business Competence
Ericsson knowledge: Knowledge of the Ericsson Local organization, required to work and represent Ericsson effectively, i.e. knowledge of Ericsson products, processes and Ericsson Managed Services Delivery Organization.
Customer Orientation: Knowledge about internal as well as external customers, and awareness of their situation and needs.
Business Orientation: Business and financial awareness to ensure understanding of the implications that various courses of action will have on costs and revenues.
Professional/Technical Competence
GSM Core domain experience and telecommunication Knowledge.
Presentation skills.
Networking and Software skills.
Sun Solaris OS knowledge.
Oracle Database Basic knowledge.
Education and Experience
Bachelor of Engineering with an experience of 2-3 years.
Experience of working on Core Networks, at least 1 year.
