Responsibilities

Interfaces with other engineering functions to coordinate the release of product improvements and/or new products.
Determines time standards and makes recommendations for tooling and process requirements
Develops design methods and parameters, project methodology and/or project proposals
Uses test procedures.
Gathers operational and test data and evaluates results.
Utilizes work methods, procedures and policies.
Assists senior manufacturing engineers in the use of DFx principles to reduce product costs.
Performs other duties as assigned. Duties will vary according to the project in progress and/or the specific goals of the department in which the incumbent works.


Job Specific Knowledge

Require general knowledge of the manufacturing engineering discipline, theories, practices and principles.
Require a basic understanding of DFx (Design for Excellence) engineering principles, and the product development process.
Skills

Require good oral and written communication skills, analytical, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Require knowledge of systems and software necessary to perform job function such as Lotus Notes, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Flowcharting, CAD, PDM, Oracle BOM, Oracle ECO, FRACAS, and/or BRIO.


Education

BSEET or BS level degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent.
Entry-level position; no experience required.
One-year previous experience in manufacturing engineering
