Responsibilities
? Within safety guidelines design, perform, collect data, analyze and compile reports on difficult process engineering experiments.
? Within safety guidelines perform hardware characterization on difficult systems.
? Measure film properties and interpret data.
? Troubleshoot, perform Root Cause Analysis, and resolve difficult process engineering issues.
? Generate internal and external documentation for products, presentations, and technical reports.
? Interact with customers to resolve process engineering issues.
? Implement new technology, products, and analytical instrumentation.
? Identify, select and work with vendors and suppliers.
Job Specific Knowledge
? Wide application of principles, theories and concepts in field plus working knowledge of related disciplines.
? Working knowledge of chemical, electrical, magnetic, material science, or mechanical concepts and techniques, including some specialized knowledge in one of the previously outlined areas
? General knowledge of material characterization
? Basic knowledge of vacuum technology
? Basic knowledge of appropriate materials, components and technologies used in the semiconductor equipment industry
? Basic knowledge of integrated circuit processing.

? Strong analytical skills
? Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
? Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
? Very computer literate
? Detail oriented
? Exercises mature judgement
? Ability to work in a team
? Ability to acquire skills necessary to assemble, service, and troubleshoot process related equipment

? Ability to influence other people; and ability to act as mentor.
Education
? Phd in Chemical/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, PV or related technical discipline (or equivalent knowledge).
? Preferred previous work experience: process engineering experience in a development or manufacturing environment.
