Responsibilities
- Lead strategy development for relevant spend areas, and coordinate with key stakeholders.
- Derive innovative Travel Services procurement strategies based on market intelligence and overall Siemens SCM strategy and gear Procurement processes towards strategic objectives and Customer service needs.
- Deliver consistent leading Travel service performance to satisfy individual customer, and collective market requirements for all Siemens Divisions.
- Provide complete, cost effective Travel Services, tailored to support the respective business needs of each Business Unit.
- Leverage the full potential of Siemens to obtain and maintain lowest costs in Travel Services.
- Cultivate innovation in Travel Services to enhance value to our customers and bring sustainable Travel Services practices into our supply chain.
- Achieve standardization and comparability within Travel Services processes.
- Drive and manage performance and improvement projects in collaboration with all relevant interface partners.
- Improve data quality & transparency in Travel Services KPI’s.
- Create Cost Transparency and report savings.
- Contribution to cross-division cost optimization and exploitation of Travel Services Procurement synergies at Siemens regional and local country level as well as ensuring SCM Compliance including P2P.
- Drive strategy implementation with regional partners across Siemens’ organizations.
- Drive Supplier Management processes (e.g. evaluation, development, initiatives, control) to obtain best suppliers and ensure transparency and early integration.
- Collaborate with regional and global members of Supply Chain Management;
- Communicate strategies, goal achievement and compliance details to Siemens management.
- Monitors utilization / implementation of strategies and reports savings achievement according to Siemens guidelines.
- Responsible for leading performance evaluations, business reviews and development activities related to suppliers in areas of responsibility;
- Participates and/or leads cross-functional teams, actively shares knowledge with others, and exhibits leadership to encourage adoption of procurement practices;
- Performance optimization of organization, structure, process, quality, productivity to ensure long-term success and cross-division cooperation.
- Develop and implement rational procedures that are aligned to achieve maximum profit and relevant pooling targets.
- Manage resources and leverage competencies; Coaching of subordinates and setting pooling targets.
- Representing the decision-making body within Siemens regarding Travel Services Procurement.
- Decision-making authority for Corporate decisions on Travel Services procurement to use synergies to maximum effect throughout Siemens demand consolidation, escalation level in case of cross-Sectoral and/or cross-functional conflicts.
- Ensure implementation of Siemens initiatives (Sustainability, Values, guidelines, risk management, internal controls)
- PVO/Spend of responsibility: 180MIO euros

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education and Experience:
- 8-10 years’ experience in Travel Services or 10+ years in related field;
- BA/BS in Supply Chain Management or related field;
- Strong analytical ability and process orientation; excellent time management skills; ability to work with minimal supervision;
- Proven high level customer service orientation, teamwork, quality, and change orientation skills;
- Strategic thinking , results driven and engaging personality; advanced interpersonal and communication skills;
- Proficiency in creating instructional materials, command skills and ability to earn the trust of our internal customers, stakeholders and staff;
- Software skills; Excel, PowerPoint, Word and ERP systems; technical aptitude with travel industry systems and ability to quickly learn new systems;
- Analytical Skills – must be able to handle large amounts of data, perform detailed analysis, be able to create and understand formulas & pivot tables, piece data from multiple sources, make decisions with scant data, and perform within Microsoft Excel. Must also be able to track savings and be able to explain calculations, in detail, for any audit requirements;
- Procurement & Negotiation Skills – must have strong procurement management skills, understand and have experience in creating and conducting RFQs; must be able to negotiate legal contracts, framework agreements and conduct business term and price negotiations utilizing various types of advanced negotiation concepts, including e-bidding and e-auctions;
- Excellent command of spoken and written in both English and Mandarin Chinese, and other Asia Pacific languages is a plus.
