Risk
Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, operational, credit, pension, insurance, compliance, regulatory, market, reputation and geopolitical risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team.

In this role, you will:
- Adherence to Annual Testing Plan.
- Consistent approach to monitoring across the business lines and functions in China.
- Input to the timely production, delivery and completion of monitoring reports and MI.
- Input to the production of Risk Prioritization Assessment and Annual Testing Plans.
- Develop and maintain a collaborative working relationship with Fi***cial Crime Risk -Specialized Assurance and key business stakeholders whilst ensuring independence of the monitoring function
- Delivery of high quality review work.
- Support the team in delivering work to agreed deadlines and standards.
- Status of remediation tracked and updates reported as agreed.

Qualifications

To be successful in the role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Good understanding and experience of compliance and Fi***cial Crime regulations.
- Minimum of a Bachelor degree in business, law, accountancy or related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience of control testing gained within a fi***cial services organization or audit/consulting practice.
- Awareness of good risk management and gover***ce frameworks including 3 lines of defense criteria.
- Understanding of the activities of relevant business lines and associated compliance risks.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to engage with senior HSBC staff within the functions.
- Ability to foster relationships whilst providing adequate challenge and effecting change.
- Ability to work under pressure and within tight time-lines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate complex regulatory issues in writing.
- Proven team player with an open communication style.
