As an integral part of Honeywell Aerospace’s global Engineering team, we are the world-class aerospace engineering team established as part of Honeywell Technology Solutions (HTS) China, one of four Honeywell global engineering and technology centers located in China and dedicated to serving the rapidly growing China market. Our team provides world-class engineering and R&D capabilities to support Honeywell Aerospace growth including working with leading companies like COMAC, AVIC, AECC, CETC and CAAC to support the rapid growth of the Chinese commercial aerospace industry. Our local engineering team also supports key global programs for Airbus, Boeing, Dassault, Embraer, and Gulfstream.

Product Integrity team is responsible for Airworthiness Certification, Quality Assurance, Chief engineers, System Safety, Accident Investigation and Litigation Support under the umbrella of Honeywell Aerospace CTO organization. Besides the global program engagement, HTS-C China PI team takes a key role in the certification activities in COMAC C919, ARJ21 and other regional programs, and has built constructive relationship with CAAC (Civil Aviation Administration of China) Headquarter and its subsidiaries.

Currently, HTSC Aero PI-Cert team is looking for a Certification Engineer to fulfill the following responsibilities:

Key responsibilities:
Conduct System/Software certification activities, work closely with various certification authorities (FAA, CAAC, etc) and product development and V&V teams for both global and regional programs.
Coordinate with program management teams at all Honeywell sites that have certification activities in China.
Review ARP4754(A) and DO-178B/C processes and guidelines for engineering and support in creation and deployment phase
Review/approve project development plans, summaries, and configuration lifecycle data.
Deliver Certification trainings
ARP4754(A)/System and DO-178B/C compliance audits
Engage in FAA/CAAC/EASA/ANAC TSO/PMA/TC/STC certification activities and CAAC validation process
Travel up to 20% of time
Preference of 10+ years’ experience in avionics development with work experience abroad

Specific Qualifications :
Education: BS in Engineering (computer science or electrical preferred)
Knowledgeable in the area of design, integration and certification of avionics systems involving software development
Have the capability to prepare, organize and successfully deploy new policies, processes and programs
Capability to coordinate oversight plans with the cert authorities, customers, and Honeywell technical/program managers
Capable of coordinating the work of different Honeywell Avionics certification and engineering groups relative to the offshore oversight processes.
Understand the applicable regulatory guidelines including ARP4754 (A), DO-254, and DO-178 B/C
